Bruno Fernandes returns to Portugal training after injury
Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes has returned to full training with the national team following a physical issue that caused him to miss the recent UEFA Nations League match against Norway. The 32-year-old, who has been managing pain from a Manchester United injury, participated in training in Malmö without limitations, making him available for the upcoming fixture against Denmark.
Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus previously noted that Fernandes had been playing through pain during recent club matches, which impacted his performance in previous international appearances. While his absence was a concern for both club and country, the decision was made for him to remain with the squad rather than returning to Manchester early.
In contrast, winger Francisco Conceição missed training after being substituted during the match against Norway. He remains under daily evaluation by the national team's medical department. Portugal currently leads Group A4 with six points following their 2-1 victory over Norway.
