Bruno Genesio reassured by Olympique de Marseille leadership

Olympique de Marseille manager Bruno Genesio has expressed confidence in the club's leadership following a difficult start to the Ligue 1 season. After recording one victory and four defeats in five matches, leaving the club in 17th place, Genesio met with directors Greg Lorenzi and Stéphane Richard during the international break.

Genesio stated that he felt “reassured” by the meeting, noting that the club's leadership is aligned regarding both immediate crisis management and medium-term vision. Despite the urgent need to improve results, the manager intends to maintain his current tactical system to avoid mental instability within the squad.

Instead of structural changes, Genesio is demanding increased physical intensity and improved defensive solidity. He emphasized that the entire collective must react to address defensive lapses and high goals-conceded rates. The team is scheduled to face Troyes this Sunday in an attempt to secure much-needed points.
