Bruno Genesio rejects resignation after Marseille loss to Beşiktaş

Olympique Marseille manager Bruno Genesio has rejected calls to resign following his team's 4-1 defeat against Beşiktaş in the opening week of the UEFA Europa League.

Speaking at a press conference after the match at Tüpraş Stadium, Genesio noted that while the team performed well in the first half and managed to score an equalizer, their concentration collapsed in the second half. He observed that the squad appeared to lose all energy and organization during the final 20 to 25 minutes of the match, allowing the deficit to widen.

Addressing questions regarding his future, Genesio stated, “I have no intention of giving up,” and emphasized that while he takes responsibility for the results and recurring mistakes, he intends to continue working to improve the team.
