Bruno Genesio rejects resignation amid Marseille's poor start

Olympique Marseille manager Bruno Genesio has stated he has no intention of resigning despite a difficult start to the season. The club currently sits in 17th place in Ligue 1, having earned only three points from five matches.

Following a 1-2 home defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in 'Le Classique', Genesio expressed frustration with recurring errors, specifically citing a lack of concentration and maturity. While he praised his players for their effort and ability to challenge a top European side, he noted that a 'respectable loss' is not sufficient for his professional standards.

This result follows a recent 1-4 loss to Besiktas in the Europa League. Genesio indicated that he will continue to work with the squad and management to improve the team's performance, utilizing the upcoming international break to reset.
