Bruno Genesio targeted for Olympique de Marseille job as LOSC coach faces exit

Lille Olympique Sporting Club (LOSC) coach Bruno Genesio, whose contract ends on 30 June, is being linked to the vacant head‑coach position at Olympique de Marseille (OM) for next season. OM president Stéphane Richard has reportedly met with Genesio, and the club is said to be advancing his candidacy despite its limited financial resources.

Former French international Christophe Dugarry warned Genesio that the Marseille job can be “ten times worse” than his previous assignments, citing the intense pressure and volatility associated with coaching the Canebière side. Genesio, who previously managed Rennes and Lyon before Lille, has not confirmed any decision, while OM supporters and media speculate on a possible replacement for Habib Beye.

The prospective move would see Genesio leave a successful stint at Lille, where he guided the team to a Champions League group‑stage qualification, and take on one of Ligue 1’s most demanding roles.
