Bruno Pavlovsky resigns from Chanel Limited board
Bruno Pavlovsky has resigned from the board of Chanel Limited as part of a strategic restructuring of the company’s corporate governance. This move is intended to transition the board toward a composition of independent directors to bring in external expertise, while maintaining executive representation through the global CEO and chairman.
Despite leaving the board, Pavlovsky will remain in his executive roles as president of Chanel’s fashion activities and president of Chanel SAS. He also continues to lead the swimwear brand Eres and the craftsmanship hub Le19M.
A veteran who joined Chanel in 1990, Pavlovsky has been a central figure in the maison’s operations for decades, working alongside creative directors including Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard. His resignation is part of a broader succession plan initiated by the Wertheimer family, following the appointment of Leena Nair as global CEO in 2021 and the departure of other long-standing executives.
