Bruno Sposato appointed director of Terni hospital pneumology department

Dr. Bruno Sposato has been appointed as the new director of the Complex Structure of Pneumology at the Santa Maria Hospital in Terni. The five-year appointment is set to officially begin on December 16, 2026, allowing him to conclude his current professional obligations.

Sposato transitions to this role after more than 20 years at the Misericordia Hospital in Grosseto, where he has worked since September 2003. A specialist in respiratory diseases, he holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from La Sapienza University of Rome and a PhD in Experimental Medicine and Systems from Tor Vergata University of Rome.

His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, COPD, respiratory failure, pulmonary fibrosis, and sleep disorders, as well as bronchoscopy and respiratory allergology. In addition to his clinical work, Sposato is an associate professor and has authored approximately 160 scientific publications.
