Brusciano mourns the death of pharmacist Ruggiero De Ruggiero

The community of Brusciano, located in the Metropolitan City of Naples, is mourning the death of pharmacist Ruggiero De Ruggiero, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

De Ruggiero, born in Naples on November 7, 1945, was noted as the last resident of Brusciano from the De Ruggiero lineage. The family is historically significant, as his great-uncle was the philosopher and historian Guido De Ruggiero, who served as the Minister of Public Instruction for the Kingdom of Italy during the Bonomi government in 1944.

Local figures, including sociologist Antonio Castaldo and sculptor Domenico Sepe, have expressed condolences, describing him as a respected professional and a man with a deep love for art and culture.
