Paysandu seeks stadium change after Série C loss to Brusque

Paysandu opened their decisive quadrangular stage in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C with a 2-1 defeat against Brusque at the Mangueirão stadium. Goals for Brusque were scored by JP Martins and Marlyson, while Marcinho provided the lone goal for Paysandu.

Following the loss, which leaves Paysandu at the bottom of Group C, the club has requested to move their upcoming home match against Inter de Limeira from the Mangueirão to the Curuzu stadium. Club president Márcio Tuma confirmed the request, noting that players believe the Curuzu environment offers better comfort and a more intense atmosphere to support their push for promotion to Série B.

Players, including goalkeeper Gabriel Mesquista and defender Gustavo Henrique, expressed frustration with the performance and apologized to the fans. Paysandu's next match is an away game against Ferroviária on Sunday, September 13.
