State Election Commission approves Brvenica by-election ballots

The State Election Commission has unanimously approved the content, appearance, and security features of the ballot for the upcoming by-elections for the Mayor of Brvenica Municipality, scheduled for October 18, 2026.

To protect the integrity of the electoral process and maintain confidentiality, the Commission discussed the specific visible and invisible security elements during a closed session. The ballots will be printed in Macedonian using the Cyrillic script. Additionally, in accordance with the representation of communities in Brvenica, the ballots will include the official language and script used by at least 20% of the municipality's citizens, as well as the language and script of the communities to which the candidates belong.
