BRVM-Composite reaches new historic peak at 555.48 points

The Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) reached a new historic peak on Friday, September 11, 2026. The BRVM-Composite index rose by 0.49% to 555.48 points, bringing its annual performance to 60.66%.

Market activity was driven by buyers, with 23 stocks increasing in value compared to 15 declining. SONATEL played a key role in supporting the indices, with its share price rising 0.69% to 39,275 FCFA, adding 27 billion FCFA to its market capitalization. Other notable gainers included Erium CI, which rose 4.35%, SAPH CI, up 3.04%, and Ecobank CI, which climbed 2.89%.

Despite the index gains, overall transaction volume slowed to 1.81 billion FCFA, down from 2.68 billion FCFA the previous day. SONATEL accounted for approximately 15.17% of the daily trading volume.
