BRVM stock market indices show mixed performance

The regional stock exchange, BRVM, has experienced fluctuating performance across recent trading sessions. In one session, the market faced a downward trend where 30 out of 39 active stocks declined. The BRVM-Composite index fell 0.81% to 520.27 points, while the BRVM-30 and BRVM-Prestige indices dropped by 0.78% and 0.74%, respectively. Notable declines included Erium, CIE, and BICICI, while Total Sénégal led gains with a 7.25% increase.

In a subsequent session, the market indices returned to growth. The BRVM-Composite rose 0.33% to 521.99 points, and the BRVM-30 increased by 0.33% to 252.87 points. Despite the rise in indices, total transaction value decreased to 1.943 billion FCFA from the previous day's 2.807 billion FCFA. Top performers during this period included Sucrivoire Côte d’Ivoire and ERIUM Côte d’Ivoire, while Tractafric Motors Côte d’Ivoire saw the largest decline.
