Bryan Adams releases protest song over Lake Ontario renaming

Canadian musician Bryan Adams has released a new song titled “Lake Ontario” as a protest against US President Donald Trump. The track, which will be featured on Adams’ upcoming album “How’s It Goin’” scheduled for release on November 6, addresses the president’s executive order to rename Lake Ontario to “Lake America” amid trade and tariff disputes with Canada.

In the song, Adams references the Iroquois name for the lake, describing it as a name given by indigenous peoples rather than one established by executive order. The lyrics suggest the renaming is a distraction from administration issues, including challenges in Iran and the ongoing traction of the Epstein files.

This release follows Adams’ July protest track “51st State,” which responded to comments regarding Canada potentially becoming the 51st US state. Adams stated that the song is intended for reasonable people on both sides of the border who believe the current political tensions will eventually pass.
