AS Roma prepares for Serie A clash against Como

Serie A AS Roma Como Gian Piero Gasperini Cesc Fabregas

AS Roma is preparing for a significant Serie A matchup against Como following the international break. Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini is working to reintegrate his squad, including the return of Lorenzo Pellegrini, who expressed readiness to compete for a starting position after recovering from a thigh injury.

However, the squad faces injury concerns as midfielder Bryan Cristante is sidelined with a knee issue, likely missing both the Como match and upcoming Champions League fixtures. This absence may see Marten De Roon step into a central midfield role alongside Manu Koné.

The upcoming match at Sinigaglia is framed as a tactical battle between Gasperini’s high-pressing style and Como manager Cesc Fabregas’s possession-based approach. Both clubs are noted for having relatively young squads as they compete for positions at the top of the league table.
