Entrepreneur and longevity advocate Bryan Johnson said he has produced a laboratory replica of himself, dubbed “baby‑Bryan,” by reprogramming his own blood cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). He posted on X that the newborn‑like clone could serve as a personal source of youthful blood, a test platform for therapies, a source of organs for transplantation and a tool for developing new treatments.

Johnson explained that the process uses the “Yamanaka factors” – four proteins identified by Nobel laureate Shinya Yamanaka – to revert adult cells to an embryonic‑like state. He envisions the genetically identical cells eventually repairing damaged organs with reduced rejection risk. The claim follows his ongoing Blueprint project, which invests millions annually in attempts to halt aging, and comes weeks after he disclosed an autoimmune gastritis diagnosis.
