Bryan Song signs first professional contract with FC Metz

Bryan Song, the 21‑year‑old defender and son of Cameroonian football legend Rigobert Song, has signed his first professional contract with French Ligue 2 side FC Metz. The three‑year deal was formalised in front of his father, who praised his son’s progress through the club’s academy.

The signing continues the Song family’s historic link with Metz, where Rigobert played from 1994 to 1998 and helped the club win the French League Cup. Bryan, a Cameroon U‑23 international, hopes to forge his own identity while building on his father’s legacy in French football.
