Bryant men's soccer defeats UMBC 1-0

In an America East Conference matchup, the No. 25-ranked Bryant Bulldogs men's soccer team defeated the UMBC Retrievers 1-0 at Beirne Stadium in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Fermin Rodriguez secured the victory for Bryant in the 29th minute with a long-distance, curling left-footed strike. Bryant goalkeeper Ramon Camejo recorded his second shutout of the season, including a critical reflex save in the 70th minute to deny a header from UMBC's Nico Banks.

Despite UMBC outshooting Bryant 8-7, the Retrievers were unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities, including a header by Lance Talley that struck the crossbar in the second half. Bryant moves to a 1-1 record in conference play.
