Bryce Eldridge enters concussion protocol following hotel accident

San Francisco Giants rookie Bryce Eldridge has entered concussion protocol following a head laceration sustained at a team hotel. The 6-foot-7 first baseman reportedly bumped into a low archway, resulting in lingering symptoms including wooziness. Manager Tony Vitello confirmed Eldridge would miss the series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers as medical personnel continue to monitor him.

Despite the injury setback, Eldridge recently delivered a standout performance against the St. Louis Cardinals, leading the Giants to a 10-3 victory. During that game, Eldridge hit a 461-foot home run, the longest of the season at Busch Stadium, and drove in three runs. The win helped San Francisco snap a four-game losing streak.
