Bryce Eldridge records first Splash Hit in Giants' 8-2 win over Rockies
Twenty‑one‑year‑old first baseman Bryce Eldridge hit his first career "Splash Hit" by launching a 106.7 mph solo home run into McCovey Cove, giving the San Francisco Giants a 4‑2 tie in the fourth inning of their 8‑2 victory over the Colorado Rockies on July 9, 2026. The homer was the Giants' 109th Splash Hit since Oracle Park opened in 2000.
The rally continued with RBI doubles from Casey Schmitt, Rafael Devers and Willy Adames, while left‑hander Carson Whisenhunt earned the win with 5 2/3 strong innings. The win kept the Giants from slipping into a tie for last place in the NL West as the series heads into the All‑Star break.
