BRYMIR releases second single ‘Tempestbound’

Finnish melodic death metal band BRYMIR has released ‘Tempestbound,’ the second single from their upcoming fifth studio album, ‘What We Leave Behind.’ The album is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026, via Napalm Records.

The new single utilizes rapid guitar work and cinematic arrangements to explore the contradictions of human progress. The band uses mythological themes to argue that while humanity has achieved immense technological marvels, these advancements are frequently used for self-destruction and war rather than exploration.

Based in Helsinki, BRYMIR incorporates orchestral elements and choirs into their sound, influenced by vocalist Viktor Storm Gullichsen’s background in film sound design. The band describes the forthcoming album as their darkest and most direct work to date, addressing themes of existential despair, social development, and science fiction.
