Bryson DeChambeau explores more DP World Tour appearances amid LIV Golf uncertainty

Bryson DeChambeau’s representatives have approached DP World Tour officials to discuss increasing his appearances on the European circuit. While DeChambeau is not currently seeking full membership, the discussions follow his scheduled appearance at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa this December, which will be his first non-major DP World Tour start since 2022.

This development occurs amid significant instability for LIV Golf. Several high-profile players, including Jon Rahm, David Puig, and Sergio Garcia, have reportedly exited or are evaluating their positions regarding the league’s planned ‘LIV 2.0’ relaunch. Financial uncertainties also persist; reports suggest LIV Golf may owe Jon Rahm up to $150 million in remaining contract payments, while DeChambeau has a conditional claim of approximately $5.7 million listed in bankruptcy documents.

Despite these challenges, private equity firm BC Partners has injected fresh capital into LIV 2.0. The organization has extended the deadline for player commitments for 2027 to October 25.
