Brzesko celebrates Bread Festival and Craftsmen Guild anniversary

In Brzesko, the 25th Diocesan Bread Festival was held on September 6, 2026, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the Guild of Craftsmen and Small and Medium Enterprises. The celebrations began with a Mass at Kazimierz Wielki Square, led by Archbishop Wiktor Skworc.

During his homily, Archbishop Skworc emphasized the importance of the “bread of peace” and called for an end to wars globally. He also highlighted the spiritual necessity of finding peace within oneself through the sacrament of penance. Following the Mass, the guild presented its highest honors, including the “Kiliński Saber,” to members for their contributions to the community, such as the restoration of the local church roof. The event included food stalls featuring bread, honey, meats, and cheeses, alongside activities for families.
