Brzesko church begins roof reconstruction after storm damage

Preparatory work has begun for the reconstruction of the roof of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, in Brzesko. The structure was severely damaged by destructive storms and heavy hail that struck the Brzesko district in July 2025.

The total cost of the reconstruction is estimated at 1.85 million PLN. An insurance payout from PZU has covered 1.11 million PLN, while the remaining funds are being raised through donations from parishioners and sponsors. Due to the ongoing works, access to the church has been modified, with entrances available via the Market Square and Chopin Street.
