Börzsöny Forest Therapy Event Boosts Nature Connection in Hungary

A nature‑connection meeting was held in the Börzsöny forest region of Hungary, organized by the Természetútja Erdőfürdő és Erdőterápia Intézet. Participants engaged in guided forest bathing, yoga, meditation, Nordic walking, forest pedagogy, sound‑bowl relaxation and other activities under the facilitation of Székely Éva Ingrid.

The event aimed to strengthen participants’ relationship with the natural environment and reduce modern‑life stress. Research cited indicates that even a short half‑hour walk in the woods can lower cortisol levels by 12–16 % compared with urban settings, while also decreasing pulse and blood pressure and promoting parasympathetic activity. Organizers presented the program as a means to foster both personal well‑being and deeper ecological awareness.
