BS Nittele announces culinary program featuring embassy chefs

BS Nittele will broadcast a new culinary program titled ‘Embassy Chef’s Speciality,’ narrated by Shiori Sato. The series explores the diverse food cultures of various nations through the expertise of resident chefs at embassies in Japan.

The premiere episode focuses on the German Embassy, featuring Executive Chef Shigeki Kobayashi. The program aims to move beyond common stereotypes of German food, such as beer and sausages, to explore regional specialties, the importance of potatoes, and the use of acidity in cooking. It also visits a specialized German restaurant in Tokyo and provides a recipe for authentic German potato salad.

The second episode will feature the Embassy of Sri Lanka, highlighting spicy breakfast traditions and modern Sri Lankan cuisine, including a recipe for coconut milk potato curry.
