BSC Research warns of potential VN-Diamond index removals
BSC Research has issued a forecast regarding the upcoming VN-Diamond index restructuring by HoSE. The results for the October 2026 review are expected to be announced on November 2, with the new portfolio taking effect on November 16.
According to the analysis, no new stocks are likely to be added to the index. KDH faces potential removal, which could lead ETFs to sell over 4 million shares worth approximately 62 billion VND. Other stocks facing significant selling pressure include FPT, with an estimated 274.5 billion VND in potential sales, ACB, and MSB.
On the buying side, GMD is projected to see the strongest inflows, with an estimated 242 billion VND in ETF purchases. Other potential beneficiaries include REE, MBB, PNJ, and NLG.
Looking further ahead to the April 2027 review, PNJ is highlighted as a high-risk candidate. Due to a projected record after-tax loss in 2026, its 12-quarter EPS could turn negative, potentially placing it in a "waiting list for removal" by late 2027. MSB and FPT also remain under observation due to declining foreign ownership and other metrics.
