BSF apprehends four Pakistani fishermen in Gujarat
The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended four Pakistani fishermen and seized their boat in the Sir Creek area of Gujarat’s Kutch district. The operation took place in the sensitive maritime boundary region between India and Pakistan.
Acting on specific intelligence, BSF personnel intercepted the group while they were engaged in crab-catching activities in Indian waters. The apprehended individuals have been identified as Kadir Thaimor, Muhammad Mussa, Azgar Thaimor, and Ahsan Jat, all residents of Chach Jaan Khan village in Pakistan’s Sindh province.
The Sir Creek area is a narrow, marshy tidal channel in the Rann of Kutch that presents significant operational challenges due to its difficult geography. The BSF maintains a continuous vigil in the region to prevent unauthorized crossings and infiltration.
