BSF kills unidentified intruder near Amritsar-Pakistan border

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot and killed an unidentified individual attempting to infiltrate the India-Pakistan international border near Daoke village in the Amritsar district. The incident occurred during early morning routine patrolling in the Gharinda police station area.

According to reports, BSF personnel noticed movement in the bushes near the barbed-wire fencing. After the individual emerged and ignored multiple warnings to stop, he continued moving toward the border fence, prompting the personnel to open fire. The individual died at the scene.

Local police have taken custody of the body for a post-mortem examination. No identification documents, prohibited items, or suspicious materials were recovered from the deceased, leaving his identity and nationality unknown. Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the individual's attempt to cross the border.
