BSNL announces 4G expansion and new service offers in India

To mark India’s 80th Independence Day, state-owned telecommunications provider BSNL has announced several digital initiatives and service expansions. The company has ordered more than 26,300 additional 4G BTS sites for nationwide deployment to enhance connectivity.

As part of its promotional offers, BSNL is extending the validity of its ₹2,399 annual prepaid plan. Users will now receive a total of 412 days of validity instead of 365, including an additional 47 days. This plan provides 2GB of high-speed data daily, 100 free SMS per day, and unlimited voice calling across India with free national roaming.

Other announced initiatives include the ‘Re. 1 Freedom 2.0’ offer, which provides 1GB of daily data, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited calls for 24 days. The company also highlighted a revamped Selfcare app, satellite phone services, and a partnership with Polycab to improve digital accessibility and customer experience.
