BSNL launches ₹1 promotional SIM offer for new customers

BSNL has launched its ‘Freedom 2.0’ promotional offer to mark Independence Day, targeting new customers with a highly affordable entry point. Under this special First Recharge Coupon (FRC) plan, new users can acquire a SIM card for just ₹1.

The ₹1 offer provides a 24-day validity period, which includes 1GB of data per day, unlimited voice calling to any network in India, and 100 SMS per day. This specific promotion is intended for new SIM activations to encourage users to test the network before committing to long-term recharges; it is not available for existing BSNL subscribers.

In addition to the promotional SIM offer, BSNL is highlighting other services, including high-speed FTTH broadband plans for villages and cities, and a new satellite phone priced at ₹1.34 lakh designed for use in remote or disaster-prone areas. The company is also continuing to expand its indigenous 4G network coverage.
