Büsum coast visit fulfills final wish for elderly woman

ASB-Wünschewagen Büsum North Sea wish fulfillment senior care

An 80-year-old woman from Heide, Gerda, fulfilled a final wish by visiting the coast in Büsum. Supported by the ASB-Wünschewagen project, she was able to enjoy the North Sea breeze and eat fresh shrimp rolls on the promenade.

The ASB-Wünschewagen project, which began in the Ruhr region in 2014, aims to fulfill the special wishes of terminally ill individuals during their final stages of life. There are currently 23 such vehicles operating across Germany, supported by nearly 2,000 volunteers.
