BSW and dieBasis announce cooperation in Berlin

The Berlin state branches of Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) and dieBasis have announced a political cooperation. The two parties intend to collaborate on three primary areas: the investigation of COVID-19 measures, peace policy involving cultural exchange and friendship with Russia, and the expansion of direct democracy.

Simultaneously, BSW has filed an urgent legal motion against the public broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB). The party is seeking to contest its exclusion from the ‘rbb24 Wahlarena’ election debate scheduled for September 16, 2026. RBB excluded the party based on polling data, citing that participants must have realistic chances of entering the Abgeordnetenhaus. BSW disputes the criteria used for this decision and is demanding participation for one of its top candidates.
