Members of the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) held a demonstration in Berlin to protest the closure of the Russian House. Approximately 100 participants formed an 80-meter human chain in front of the cultural institution on Friedrichstraße.

The closure follows a decision by the German government, which cited intelligence findings and police investigations linking Russia to a drone incident at the Halle/Leipzig airport. The German government's move resulted in the termination of staff at the institute. BSW top candidate Alexander King criticized the action, describing it as ‘dangerous and destructive’ and claiming it prepares for ‘endless enmity.’

Critics have previously characterized the Russian House as a site for Russian propaganda and espionage.
