Bétaré-Oya authorities investigate discovery of 76 human bones

In Bétaré-Oya, Cameroon, authorities have launched an investigation into the suspected profanation of graves following the discovery of 76 human bones. The discovery occurred during a routine check of a Toyota Corolla being used for illegal transport on the Bétaré-Oya–Ndokayo axis.

During the stop, gendarmes found the remains inside a black backpack belonging to a 24-year-old passenger. Following the initial arrest, two additional suspects, identified by the aliases ‘Rasta’ and ‘Puyol’, were apprehended the following day. The investigation is ongoing to determine the responsibility of those involved.
