B:TECH AI Training Empowers Czech Primary Teachers

B:TECH organized practical workshops for primary school teachers in the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic. The programme, supported by Vysočina Education’s Jobity project and led by Zuzana Siwková, introduced AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, NotebookLM and Gamma. Participants practiced using the tools to create lesson plans, worksheets, tests and presentations, while being taught to verify outputs, identify errors and maintain pedagogical responsibility. The first two sessions, held at B:TECH, involved 16 teachers from Havlíčkův Brod, Chotěboř, Lipnice nad Sázavou and nearby villages, and further sessions are planned at schools in Havlíčkův Brod and Pelhřimov. The training emphasises that AI should aid, not replace, teachers and aims to foster critical thinking and safe technology use among students.
