BTN and PPATK renovate 20 unfit houses in Indonesia
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) and the Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Keuangan (PPATK) have collaborated to renovate 20 unfit houses (RTLH) for underprivileged families across four Indonesian regions. The renovated homes are distributed equally, with five units each in Lebak, Cianjur, Sukabumi, and Purworejo.
This initiative follows a 2025 collaboration that addressed 15 homes, bringing the two-year total to 35 beneficiary families. BTN President Director Nixon L. P. Napitupulu stated that the program serves as an alternative for low-income segments, specifically those in economic deciles 1 through 4, who may struggle to access traditional mortgage financing (KPR).
Both institutions intend to continue the house renovation program annually, targeting areas facing extreme poverty. The program also aims to incorporate financial literacy to support family stability.
