BTQ Technologies to deploy quantum-secure network on Kaia blockchain

BTQ Technologies has entered into a three-year commercial agreement with the Kaia DLT Foundation to deploy its Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN) across the Kaia blockchain ecosystem. This marks the first recurring commercial deployment of the QSSN technology.

The integration aims to provide account-level protection for stablecoins against emerging quantum computing threats. The security will cover transaction and settlement infrastructure, as well as applications built on the Kaia blockchain. LINE NEXT Inc.’s Unifi Wallet is positioned to be among the first consumer use cases, potentially reaching a user base of over 250 million people across the LINE and Kakao ecosystems in Asia.

Under the terms of the deal, BTQ’s revenue will be tied to transaction volumes secured by the QSSN rather than a traditional licensing model. The company expects first-year revenue in the six-figure range. Kaia, a high-throughput blockchain formed from the merger of Klaytn and Finschia, currently supports assets such as USDT and is exploring infrastructure for Korean won and Japanese yen-backed stablecoins.
