BTS breaks Spotify record with 10 billion annual streams

BTS has become the first group to surpass 10 billion streams on Spotify within a single year, according to BigHit Music. This milestone is driven largely by their latest album, ‘ARIRANG’, which has recorded approximately 5 billion streams in 2026, making it the most-streamed album of the year.

The album marks the group’s full comeback following their mandatory military service. Upon its release on March 30, all 14 tracks occupied the top 14 positions of Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart. The title track, ‘SWIM’, set a record for the highest number of streams for a song released in 2026 on its debut day.

Individual members are also seeing significant success. Member V has surpassed 600 million streams with his solo track ‘Slow Dancing’ from his debut album, Layover.
