BTS ARIRANG World Tour fan celebration lights up New York City
South Korean boy band BTS is staging a city‑wide fan activation in New York ahead of its ARIRANG World Tour. The BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK event runs from July 24 through August 3 and turns landmarks such as Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Center and the Korean Cultural Center into themed venues with red lighting, custom T‑shirt and light‑stick stations, a digital art exhibit at the Arte Museum, a pop‑up bus tour and a "stamp rally" that encourages fans to visit multiple sites.
The activation also includes a charitable component: each stamp‑rally check‑in triggers a $1 donation to the Hope Delivered financial‑literacy program. Several local eateries and retailers – Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Black Tap, Tous les Jours, Kim’s Kimbap and Liberty Bagels – are offering limited‑time BTS‑inspired menu items and merchandise. The program extends the concert experience beyond the MetLife Stadium shows scheduled for August 1‑3, while promoting community engagement among the BTS fan base, known as ARMY.
