BTS leader RM suspended from role model list by The Pixel Project

The Pixel Project, an international organization dedicated to combating violence against women, has indefinitely suspended RM, the leader of BTS, from its list of male role models.

The decision follows controversy surrounding RM and fellow BTS member J-Hope, who were seen attending a Chris Brown concert in Toronto on August 12 and posing for photos with the American singer backstage. The association drew criticism from fans due to Brown’s history of legal issues and past convictions involving violence against women.

The Pixel Project stated that while RM had previously been recognized for his efforts to address internalized misogyny and support women in the arts, the organization is now reviewing its previous commendations of him. The nonprofit noted that the public impact of such associations is significant given the global influence of BTS members.
