BTS member Kim Taehyung reveals severe hearing loss

Kim Taehyung, known as V of the K-pop group BTS, has revealed that he is suffering from severe hearing loss in one ear. During a livestream on the Weverse platform, he explained that while his hearing in one ear is at 100 percent, his other ear is functioning at only approximately 30 percent.

Taehyung noted that the condition has worsened over the last two and a half years, particularly during his mandatory military service in South Korea. He mentioned that he initially dismissed the symptoms, believing they were a matter of mental strength, before seeking medical intervention. He is currently undergoing regular hospital treatments and taking medication to manage the condition.

The singer also previously experienced tinnitus following concerts, highlighting the auditory health risks faced by professionals in the music industry.
