BTS pays tribute to Lionel Messi at Argentina concert

The South Korean group BTS honored football legend Lionel Messi during the Argentine leg of their “Arirang” world tour. Performing at the Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata, the group marked their first performance in Argentina as a full seven-member lineup since their 2013 debut.

During the concert, several members wore Argentina national team shirts featuring Messi’s iconic No. 10. The group also recreated Messi’s signature goal celebration by raising both index fingers. The performance included cultural nods to Argentina, such as the use of local slang and references to mate tea and gauchos on the venue's giant screens.
