BTS potential Coachella 2027 headline appearance uncertain

Negotiations between the K-pop group BTS and festival promoter Goldenvoice have reportedly ended without a deal, making the group’s potential headline appearance at Coachella 2027 uncertain. While BTS was never officially announced for the lineup, speculation had grown following reports that HYBE sought a stake in Coachella in exchange for BTS' world tour promotional rights.

Interest in the group's involvement intensified after Goldenvoice CEO Paul Tollett attended BTS’ full-group comeback performance in Seoul in March 2026 alongside HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. However, the proposed arrangement involving AEG Presents and HYBE did not materialize, and BTS' world tour promotion is instead being handled by Live Nation.

As the group's potential debut remains unconfirmed, other artists including Dua Lipa, SZA, Drake, Radiohead, and Tame Impala are being considered for major slots at the festival. Coachella 2027 is scheduled to take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, across two weekends in April.
