B’Tselem reports systematic Palestinian elimination project
The Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem has released a 250-page report titled ‘The Elimination Project’. The report argues that decades of human rights violations in the Occupied Territories—including demolitions, violence, land expropriation, and increased checkpoints—are not isolated incidents. Instead, B’Tselem claims they constitute a systematic project aimed at eliminating the Palestinian presence in the region to expand Israeli presence, noting an intensification of these actions following October 7.
In San Marino, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Luca Beccari addressed the political debate surrounding Palestine during a joint session of the council commissions. Beccari noted that while the recognition of the Palestinian State and support for its population were approved unanimously by the Grand and General Council, the issue has become a source of intense political and media conflict. He warned against a growing ‘culture of hate’ and aggressive rhetoric directed at officials, urging citizens to defend the Republic’s traditional values of solidarity and hospitality.
