btv technologies introduces TAK model to secure semiconductor supply chains

btv technologies has introduced the TAK model, a Supply-Chain-as-a-Service approach designed to mitigate risks in the semiconductor supply chain. The model focuses on three core pillars: Transparency, Agility, and Cost-efficiency.

Addressing vulnerabilities exposed by previous chip shortages, the model aims to prevent production halts in industries like automotive, where the absence of a single microcontroller can stop entire manufacturing lines. The company seeks to move businesses away from traditional Just-in-Time principles toward a system that provides better visibility into component origins, stock levels, and material movements.

Maximilian Krane, CEO of btv technologies, noted that future semiconductor crises may not stem from a total lack of availability, but rather from the sudden disappearance of specific, indispensable components. The TAK model manages procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics to build resilience against geopolitical tensions and the high concentration of chip manufacturing in Asia.
