BUAP Computer Science Faculty Unveils Third Work Report
The Faculty of Computer Science (FCC) at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) presented its third work report, attended by Rector Lilia Cedillo Ramírez and faculty director María del Consuelo Molina García. The report outlined activities from the past year, emphasizing a balance of teaching, research, and industry linkage.
Students won first‑place positions in national and international hackathons. The faculty now serves 3,800 students across five undergraduate programmes, two master’s degrees and a doctoral programme. In the last year 397 students graduated, 187 of them through the Ceneval exam. The teaching staff consists of 139 professors, including 29 members of the National System of Researchers, 47 with a PRODEP profile and 46 listed in BUAP’s researcher registry. Fourteen academic bodies support research and technological development.
Industry collaboration was highlighted through workshops, national and international conferences, a job‑fair, and training with the AWS Academy, which involves more than 1,200 students.
