Arturo Asiel Rangel Flores selected for 2026 International Air and Space Program
Arturo Asiel Rangel Flores, a graduate of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), has been selected to participate in the 2026 International Air and Space Program (IASP). Organized by the aerospace firm AEXA, the program will take place at NASA’s Space Center Houston.
Rangel Flores will present a research proposal focused on studying cellular responses to microgravity and radiation in space. His project stems from his previous research in organic chemistry and his thesis work regarding cancer.
The five-day program brings together international participants to solve complex space exploration challenges in multidisciplinary teams. The winning project from this 14th edition may be sent to the International Space Station (ISS) via the Materials International Space Station Experiment (MISSE) module.
