Bachillerato 5 de Mayo reports academic growth and international prestige

Lilia Cedillo Ramírez, Rector of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), presided over the Second Annual Report of Activities for María Luisa González Herrera, Director of Bachillerato 5 de Mayo. The report highlighted the academic consolidation and growing prestige of the institution.

Key achievements noted include the participation of students in national and international competitions, including mathematics and philosophy olympiads. The institution, which serves over 430 students, reported high rates of graduates entering higher education and securing scholarships. Additionally, the school saw a 13 percent increase in students obtaining the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

The faculty consists of 28 professors, 89 percent of whom hold postgraduate degrees. The report also emphasized successes in sports and social engagement initiatives within the Puebla region.
