BUAP students win bronze medal in table tennis

Students from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) high schools secured a bronze medal in table tennis at the 2026 CONADE National Olympiad. The winning trio consists of Zoé Atziri Ángel Romero, Rubí Eleonor Fernández Hernández, and Shelinn Pérez Hernández.

Competing in the Juvenil B category for athletes aged 16 to 19, the Puebla selection advanced through a direct elimination system, notably defeating Baja California in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. This performance placed the team among the top four selections in the country.

Angel Romero and Fernández Hernández represent the Prepa Enrique Cabrera, while Pérez Hernández is a student at Prepa Lázaro Cárdenas. The achievement is part of a larger presence from the Lobos BUAP Sports Training Center, which contributed 78 athletes to the Puebla delegation during the competition.
