BUAP to host Second International Congress of Veterinary Microbiology
The Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), through its Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics, is hosting the Second International Congress of Veterinary Microbiology (CIMVET). The event will take place on October 13, 14, and 15 at the Ciudad Universitaria Seminar Unit.
The congress serves as a scientific platform for exchanging knowledge regarding veterinary microbiology, animal health, and public health. Featured speakers include Dr. Santiago Redón Marín, a specialist in viral diseases from Corporación Universitaria Remington in Colombia, and Dr. Nidia Aréchiga Cevallos, a rabies specialist from the Institute of Epidemiological Diagnosis and Reference (InDRE).
Scientific topics will include infectious diseases in domestic and wild animals, emerging zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, biotechnology for animal production, vaccinology, and diagnostic innovation. The program includes 45 poster presentations and eight oral presentations by students, academics, and researchers.
